OpenAI introduced dots, always-on agents powered by GPT-6 Astra, at DevDay 2026. Each has its own cloud computer, learns from feedback, connects to over 4,000 apps through plugins and is reached through ChatGPT, Slack or Teams. Rolled out first to Pro, Business Premium and Enterprise plans in eligible markets.

Why it matters

OpenAI's version of the persistent agent, seven weeks after xAI's Grok Bot. Like Grok Bot it runs on a model already recorded here (GPT-6 Astra), so it is an agent milestone rather than a model release.
