Tencent Cloud released CodeBuddy Code, a terminal coding agent driving the whole write-debug-test-deploy loop from natural language, and on the same day opened CodeBuddy IDE to public beta. The domestic build runs on DeepSeek with unlimited use; the international build routes to GPT and Gemini. IDE and CLI share one quota.

Why it matters

The day Tencent completed the set — plug-in, IDE and CLI — and the first Chinese vendor to hold all three shapes at once. It is the clearest example of a Chinese harness shipped without a matching first-party model in front of it: Tencent has Hunyuan, and pointed its own CLI at DeepSeek anyway.

Held at partially_verified rather than verified because that Tencent Cloud text was read on brands.cnblogs.com, a third-party developer site hosting Tencent Cloud's channel, not on a tencent.com page; codebuddy.ai's documentation carries no changelog or dates.
